Sweet, sweet girl.
The only other female in this house of boys.
Oh how we all miss her brother. I don't know who misses him more.
Two long-time friends, that both love to capture moments in their life with a camera, are reuniting on the internet for a year long photo challenge.
This picture is stunning! Did you do anything special to capture it or edit? I just love it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy! I love it when I nail the exposure and lighting on a shot like this. It's exciting.
ReplyDeleteThis shot is SOOC (straight out of camera). She was sitting on the chair and I grabbed my camera (d700) which always has the 50mm 1.4 lens on it. I turned the chair about 90 degrees so she was facing the windows (about 15 feet away). I moved the iso to 1000 and shot this at 1.6 and 1/200.
Is this the lens you have?

I am planning on getting a 50mm, a flash, and upgrading my 18-200mm from the Sigma lens to the Nikon VR version.
ReplyDeleteYes that's one of my favorite lenses. It's just a great general lens and so useful for low light situations.
ReplyDeleteI also shoot with a 60mm 2.8 macro, 24-70 2.8, and 70-200 2.8.
A few thoughts for your wedding...this lens combo is critical, imho, for wedding shooting. I take that, a SB800 flash and an extra camera body. I don't think I could say enough how very important it is to rent/borrow an additional camera body. You wouldn't want to ever be in a situation whereby you couldn't shoot the wedding. I'm sure there are places you can rent from. You could also rent your lenses, which is what I did, and still sometimes do, for a very long time. the 70-200 goes to 2.8 and is great for distance with unbelievable clarity.
I am going to be selling the 17-55 2.8 because it doesn't work on my full frame camera. If you're interested I'd be glad to sell it to you when you're here in August.
So what two camera bodies do you use?
ReplyDeleteI currently have a D90, but have been looking on eBay, etc. to see if I can pick-up another body for a reasonable price. I was thinking about a D300, that would become my main camera for photo shoots with the D90 as "everyday" and back-up.
There are so many options... :)
